Recovered Barnes Spitfire
Barnes Spitfire 245g shot from a T/C Omega .50 with 100g 777 loose.
weighed on my digital scale - 245.2 g so I assuming 100% weight retention. |
Yep, its a thing of beauty!

A picture is worth a thousand words:hail:that's how a good bullet performs!!!!
|
very impressive bullet there.
|
Where was it recovered from game or a back stop?
|
Pretty expansion, but I also would like to know where it came from. If an animal, how big, how far did it penetrate? Inquiring minds want to know.
|
I am so glad I shoot them

The Buck stops with Barnes!

im gonna guess this was recovered from a target trap er such. i havnt ever had one stay inside a deer, always a pass through. we are dbl lungers here though, i would think that a shoulder shot would create more of a deformity?

What a pretty flower!

sorry for the delay. It was recovered from the ground, she was standing on the side of a ridge. shot was somewhere between 60-70 yds. She was slightly quartering to, entrance was in the right shoulder exit was just behind the shoulder. hit scapula going in and rib coming out. Pretty impressive. oh and it left a 6 inch gouge in the ground, had to dig another 4-5 inches to find it.
