you can see the 1870 50-70 trap door in the first pic on the floor. Everything so far is checking out to be original. The bore surprisingly only has very light pitting and i mean light. Have to figure out what shes worth.

yes it has a cheek piece. Very nice comfortable rifle to be honest with you. Not barrel heavy either. The bolt is still an odd set up for me but im sure i could have gotten used to it. Either way, Chet i believe will fall in love with this rifle.
