I also make mine, and I make the ladder section angled toward the tree as opposed to vertical. The angle makes it easier to climb.

They are comfy and i like them just so i can relax and take the shot i want. Not the shot im motivated to take because im cold and the weather is nasty.
Complete with heater, couch from a mini van and "urination station".....oh plus a cooler with lunch and refreshments. ![]() ![]() I love the view. :D ![]() ![]() My cam set on 24x zoom, You can barely see the red bush in the pic above. ![]() |

We did go overboard but most of the lumber was free and we had to make it relatively safe for the younger ones too. We had a "crows nest" another 6ft above the main stand but it was a bit dangerous so we took it down. |
