NM season started today

got out early this morning " saturday" for my first out of state hunt. We did a good deal of hiking and even videoed one area where i had to crawl up the cracks of a rock wall in order to get up to the top. We found a good sized 2x2 muley up there and i could have taken him easily at 202 yards but decided to just hold off.

6 more days left, no need to rush things yet.

'ah missed one today! My brother in law said to hold top back and i figured oh ok, he must be 200 yards if hes telling me to hold on his back. I aimed a couple inches over, squeezed and ahhhh crap! Right over him.

Oh well, plenty of days left, and ive learned to carry my own range finder so i know exactly how far the next buck is.

Almost used the tag on a small 3x3.. whhheeeww!!

The monsters are around but extremely hard to get on to. We jumped 3 5x5's yesterday and they just dont stop long enough for a shot. Its been hard hunting so far.
