Congrats on the Renes. They are nice guns . I thought about giving the GPR a break and using a Rene on my Refuge hunt. Have fun working up a load for them. I am betting 90 gr will be a sweet spot.

They look nice. Have fun getting them tuned in.

I sure would like to see the back side of the lock on that single trigger Renegade.
And your new one looks pretty clean.

That's a sweet duo Brknarrow. Renegade fever cannot be cured.

Locks are the same... Trigger assembly is different

OK i am going to get in trouble again.... The Renegade is the best sidelock made, wel the Lyman Trade Rifle is awful good too...

But with the Renegade if you get adventurous you can swap your current barrel for a GM-LRH -> fast twist barrel and shoot really long big heavy conicals or all the sabot bullets...

Go Renegades!

The Renegade is a solid no frills sidelock. I personally prefer the T/C Hawkens though. Both use the same lock and maybe trigger (double trigger). The Rene has a 1" bbl vs the 15/16" on the Hawken. But the Hawken bbl is a couple inches longer.
You think you like the Rene now with the factory bbl? You ought to try them with a Green Mountain Long Range Hunter with a 1:28 or a slow twist 1:70 for round ball. Then your Renes will give any inline a run for its money in the accuracy dept.

The GM barrels are something I will probably look at, would be great to turn one into a RB rifle and the other conical or sabots- anyone have a good resource to price the barrels and typically what is the turn around
Do they drop right in in place of the normal barrel
