getting ready too
Go pick up my second renegade, this one has the double set triggers and is also a .50 cal taking my bore light is there anything else need to look out for
|
Other than checking for rust in the bore, you might want to take a nipple wrench with you and make sure the nipple isn't rusted in. And if it has a clean out screw, take a screw driver to be sure that it isn't rusted in also. If the bore is clean and rust free, the nipple and clean out screw are probably clean also. But sometimes they might be overlooked in the cleaning process, by some people.

Thanks pluck, should be heading out in 30 anxious to get my 2nd rene and try the set triggers, this one is coming from original owner , he mentioned he shot sabots in it any negative effects on the barrel opposed to a lead slug
|
There should be no problems in regards to that.
I am a little confused about your reference to "This one has the double set triggers". I thought all Renegades have double set triggers. And that statement leads me to think you believe you have a Renegade that only has one trigger on it? |
Yep they made them in single trigger configurations at some point, it is also a .50 when i get home this afternoon will post up some pictures
|
And this I'm really not sure of. But I also thought that Renegades were .54 caliber rifles. I know you can get .50 caliber barrels for them, I have one.
Good luck. |
looking forward to pic's your going to like the double triggers...I got a 50 and a 56
|
The original Renegades came in .50, .54, even .58 in the big bore model. They had 1-48 twists. Their double set triggers were very crisp and clean. Then T/C changed the Renegade and it was called the Renegade Hunter. This model had a single trigger, but other then that it was a Renegade. They are good shooters. I am sure you will like the rifle with the double triggers.
