I think you would be right because most bullets I use for hunting would leave a big exit hole but I guess the design of this bullet is such that it is suppose to do more internal damage rather than leave a big exit hole. Still that is hard for me to get use to. Like RoyRogers always said"people change, but not much"

Chet, if you would like to try some of them 250g Deep Curl, i have some that haven't been shot yet. You are sure welcome to pick them up, the next time you are in town. There are also some Nosler 260g partition available to try. Also, there are some 250g 44 caliber partition.

Hey Chet! would you do me an experiment if and when you get an opportunity...

Load up up one of the littlehorns with the same charge and bullet you were using... Place a gallon milk jug full of water @ 50 yards and shoot it

Then get a picture of the jug... If you can do it and get time to do it i will suggest what to look for after you have made the shot.

I can do that, especially since the pink one is loaded from yesterday and I was going to unload it and clean it. I will try to find a jug and do that this evening.

Well maybe it is telling me something.... if the bullet entered on the right side of the jug and traveled to the left or you hand...

If it did go that way - then that extra hole in the jug above the bullet path MAY have been caused by a pellet to be coming off - so maybe it is traveling fast enough.

Actully I turned the jug to take the picture. It was a bad shot as I grazed the left side of the jug. I didn't get an entry exit shot just the edge of the jug

Look at this picture... if I have the entrance hole in the right place... then I think the bullet may have worked internally. It was just lacking a lot umph! at the target because of the lower velocity.

Also remember when shooting a Lehigh/Bloodline - you will not get the large exit hole as you do with a mushrooming bullet. Once the bullet looses it's petals it just because a sharp edged turning cutting, hydrostatic pressure causing Kieth Nose Conical....

That's an awesome hunt and a darn fine shot. Can't wait till my son gets to take one with the crossbow. Hoping to have that happen this year.....want him to get bitten by the bug early.
