H & RV Huntsman

Does anyone have any opinions on the H & R Huntsman. They look good in the sales circular at $139.00. Takes shotgun primer. I do not know if it' ll take 150 g charge?????

I just checked ' em out at the link below

They look like a simple, quality short barreled option. I just might have to get me one!

I called H&R last year when I was looking for an inline. They are not rated for 150 grain charge. If I knew then what I know now I would not have let that be a factor. To me it is just wasteful to shoot 150 grains. You lose accuracy and gain unneeded recoil while not getting that much velocity in return. I would buy an H&R in a minute if I needed another one.

I own an H&R Handi-Rifle in .223 Rem. It is a good gun and fun to shoot. I am actually planning to get a ML barrel for it when I can start shooting again. If I were you, I would call to make sure you can get rifle barrels for the Huntsman, If no, I would buy the Handi-rifle, in whatever caliber, and then buy a ML barrel for it. That way you can buy other centerfire barrels for it also.
