I am not sure if I believe the rumour that there is such a thing as a Mountaineer. LOL.
I pre-ordered one back in November and was told they would be out sometime in January. In January I was told February. Then it moved to march. Finally March arrived and I got really excited , but was told that it would be the first of May. I check when May rolled around and was informed that it would be the end of May.May came and went . Finally I was told they were going to ship it , that was in June. Needless to say June came and went. I keep thinking, maybe today. Yes maybe today. I sure hope July doesn't come and go like the other months . The wait may be worth it but painful to say the least.

I would have demanded my money back long ago. any business that comes out with a catalog/ line up of there products, but doesn't have them stocked is shooting themselves in the foot.the damage knight is causing to themselves right now. can't be repaired, regardless of how good there products are.this is a horrible way for any business to try and make a comeback, especially in this highly competitive market. they really need to get there act together ASAP or risk folding in the very near future.. Right now it's like ordering a semi-custom muzzle loader which often means a 6-9 month wait just about anywhere.
Try ordering a special model center fire gun from a factory custom shop and see how long it takes.
I've heard that just sending a gun back to Taurus for warranty work can take a really long time too.
Some people get paid for doing quality work. I'll bet that there's a lot of inspections going on at Knight to make triple sure that everything is right.
BTW how is that camo stock coming along?

HUH? $1500.00 what? When there site finally listed there new line up and i saw the words (pre order) i knew they were in trouble. this almost always means they do not have the capitol to produce there line up in large quantities in advance. if you list it on your web site, regardless of what your selling you better have it in stock. if not potential business is lost usually forever. sales show that bolt action muzzle loaders are a dying breed and if a company wants to produce them and survive, then darn well need to make them available for immediate purchase.this is not a custom hand made M/L made one at a time, that people wait 7 months for.obviously no lesson was learned last time around..just really disappointed sorry for the rant...
