Do those of you that live in hot climates just sit in an air conditioned building when it gets hot? I mean what about the people that work outdoors... it must be uncomfortable for them?

I am one of those who works in the outdoors lol. as i get older it gets harder to do believe me. we have very little humidity here except during August and September.no air conditioner here, we use swamp coolers and they work well. Ray

When I was younger I used to work construction. And I did hot and cold tar roofs and then did tuck pointing. It never seemed to bother me when I was young. I'd go out after work with the guys and we'd make sure we replenished our liquid shortages. But I used my money to put my self through college and was determined not to work out in the hot sun after that.

I feel sorry for some of those that spend hours out in the hot sun. I think the worst job would be building new black top roads. They have all that heat off the asphalt, and then the hot sun. That to me would be terrible, and I understand why they are paid so well.
