BOOOM GOES THE DYNOMITE......
lil buck fever missed the 1st shot? don matter cause he stuck it ...ass on the ground...BOOOYAHHHHHHHHHH |
Very nice deer. Nice country also.
|
Jon, you were breathing harder than the kid was lmao..nice muley buck. oh and we can do without the commercials in the video.. Ray
|
Fun viewing. Love a young man's excitement during a hunt.
But after first seeing the title I was almost afraid to open it up. |
For the record, he hit him on the first shot, we put another in to anchor him down as we were getting close to private property. He was hit hard but its just best to put them down if you can get another shot.

I actually think the advertising is great. That is how we find new products and learn different things. It's all by choice as well.
The video was excellant in my opinion. To me that was a great example of bullet failure. Not sure what bullet that was, but probably a Thor or PowerBelt. The first shot was perfect like said above and the poor kid had to shoot again. I would like to make this kid a sabotless bullet for his gun. It might take a few try's but i think we can make it accurate with some accurate information. And i know it will be a one shot kill when we do.:party0005: |

Maybe I watched the wrong video but the rifle had cartridges in the buttstock carrier?? :confused0024: |

Not sure what the bullets were but the holes on the exit side were huge. He shot the buck at 277 yards. The "poor kid" was happy as heck, especially when he dropped like a stone. You can see the deer walking hard after the first shot. When you are hunting close to private property, it'd be stupid NOT to take another shot an anchor him down so you don't have to ask the land owner for permission to recover the deer. Builder, i was pretty excited, we spotted him and worked up to him along the way, running into other patches of deer. It was a great hunt, hes excited to see if he draws a tag this year. |
I watched the video three times. I guess i just assumed it was a Muzzleloader.:confused0024:
The kid made the right choice two shoot again. The darn Deer was far from dead. Well it's alot easier to buy better bullets for a 270.:happy0001: |
Watched it again. The very first picture is a Muzzleloader???? Now that i watched the gun he was carring it was obviously a rifle. My bad, i dont watch guns i'm looking at everything else in the video.
|
towards the end where my nephew is posing with the deer, the gun is right next to him on a bipod. Very clear shes a centerfire LOL. My bro in law wouldnt let him use the muzzle loader as the shots were going to be to far " thats what he thinks anyways"
|
Oh i see what you mean now Grouse. That first picture was just an opening for the main video with my forums name on it. That was me during my november elk hunt high in the mountains.
|
That's pretty country there. Minnesota is beautiful too but that area where you were hunting there is so different from here. Very pretty. Nice buck too.

just lookin at the distance in the video told me it wasnt a bp. i dont think it would even be a good idead to push over 100 yards, much less 200 with bp..whatever, however or when ever...it dropped like a rollercoaster. . be cool see them exit wounds.

New Mexico doesnt require orange. Although he did have an orange stocking hat on at one point. Most likely took it off due to the heat up during the hunt.

You never said it wasn't Colorado, and in your part of the Colorado it looks like New Mexico. :poke:
dude....the title of the video says it all lol...just observing here. |
I was looking at the video. :confused0024:
|
No safety orange required here in cali either, it's optional. i sometimes wear a orange ball cap, most times it's strapped to the back of my pack.. Ray
|
on private property, orange isnt a big deal unless you have 10 people huntin the same area...where we are, you know your area, you dont wander off of it, unless your on the main road back to camp.
public lands...you are a fool to go on public lands with out the orange. you will be the guy (or girl) we read about in the news paper..or on the news...the sad ending stories. |
Even if we didn't have to wear it in Colorado i'd wear it.
Too many trigger happy hunters here from out of state. Locals not much better. Not sure how you can mistake a human for an elk? Aren't they even aiming enough to hit the kill zone? |
