Keep us posted !:cool2:

Hey Rob, that load sounds familiar. You must have gotten it from a reliable source.

Those are some nice 100 yard groups Chet. If you want to use those on opening day it looks like you're good.

Unlike the other guys, I'm not impressed with your bullet supply because I don't see even one box of Speers. That strikes me as a sad situation and significant deficiency.

There are a lot you don't see but they are there . Like Scorpion pt golds, FPB's, some old Red Hots , PR dead center's,etc, etc. And buried way in the back in the Do Not Use pile are the Powerbelts. But you are right, no Speer gold dots. Sorry semi. Guess I let you down. Bring some out and we will go shoot them:happy0001:

I also have better luck with Harvesters in the 45. But that second group looks plenty good to me. Very well done Chet.

I am going to order some harvesters and MMP's to try. Next time out I will use loose powder and play around to see what happens. I am sure those groups will tighten up quite a bit.:barmy:Grouse since you are finished testing that mountaineer go ahead and send it out and I will give it a good test

Have you tried the PR 250gr QT? It really surprised me that they shot so good in mine. My Spin Jag does not like the PR QT's though. The tip of the bullet seems to stick in the jag after you seat the bullet. I did not get that great of accuracy with the 185gr Lehigh's that I was expecting in my Elite but I only shot 3 with 100gr of BH209. I have a few more of them I will try with 110 and 120gr since that seems to be the magic number with them. I see nothing wrong with either of the groups you shot with them. Good shooting!

I also prefer Harvester sabots in my 45's, 50's and .54. :D
