Pluckit, the reason I asked is that your T/C Renegade is also a 1:48 twist. And too, a felt wad may help under the Maxiball.
If it doesn't get any better and you like the rifle and want to upgrade it, you can always get the barrel bored out and sleeved to any twist rate you want. This would probably make her a sweet shooter for about another $150.

I almost always used a felt wad under a Maxi. You can try a veggie wad too. Sometimes they work fine and are a little cheaper. I buy the felt wads dry and use whatever lube i want. Its much cheaper and you can experiment a little.

bronko22000,
I guess I didn't state the fact that the Renegade has a Green Mountain .50 cal., 21 inch LRH (Long Range Hunter) barrel on it. It has the 1 in 28 inch twist in it.
UPDATE
I checked and I see that I did, but I may have added it in after I posted the thread. I do that a lot. Make changes and add things that is.

Remove the butt plate and take out some of the air foam that's inside the butt stock, then place some kind filler in the stock.
Lead shot or steel BB's will work but tends to rattle around if not secured enough. Some folks use modeling clay from Walmart.

My shoulder is all black and blue. I took my Pursuit to the range today and it was killing me from the bruising I took from that Bobcat.

just order a crush zone recoil pad from CVA. they only run $14 + s/h and screw directly onto the bobcat stock.

You can't shoot your best when your brain is saying "this is going to hurt". I never shoot with a sore shoulder. That's just training yourself to flinch.

Maybe that explains my buckshot targets today. I had to put my jacket between my shoulder and the Pursuit to ease the pain and it has a half decent recoil pad on it.

I'll have to do that. Those are really nice pads. And you say it will fit right?
