CVA and 3F triple 777 FPS
I like to ask the pro on what the FPS may run ?
I seem to favor the triple 777 3F 90 Gr. and the 325 gr. Buffalo SSb HPBT sabbot bullet.
The gun CVA optima mag: 29" berger barrel CCI 209 primers.

I checked my old chronograph records lonewolf.
The closest matchs I have are these:
385 grain Hornady Great Plains conicals over 90 grains of T7 FFFG - five shot average 1583 f.p.s. (shot from Lyman Mustang)
300 grain grain XTPs in Harvester crush rib sabots over 90 grains T7 FFG - five shot average 1653 f.p.s. (shot from Lyman Mustang)
Velocities are fun to play around with and talk about, but aren't all that important for real world hunting situations at, say, 150 yards or less. With the bullet you are using, anything over 1200 f.p.s. is likely to give you a pass through on a broadside shot on a deer at those ranges.

Dave, I often contemplate the same thing. But then I somehow always talk myself out of it. In fact just yesterday I was looking at them at Cabela's but turned away before my hands reached out a grabbed one. I did end up walking out with (after paying for) a new digital reloading scale.
