We got 9 inches of snow the other day, but with the warm temps it is melting fast. Today I needed no jacket. It was nice out.

Fantastic shooting from the sticks at that range! Ray

Cayugad, good shooting.
Have you ever tried tristicks?

Lee-

No I never have, but I have been told that when you get used to them they are about as good as a bench rest. In trees,

In tree stands, I also use a rope brace swing. I tie a thin rope to a limb off on my left side, then cross that in front of you with a gentle bend in it. And loop it, running it in front of you to the right, high on the next branch but leave some hang so you can step in it and take out the slack. So when you want to raise the rest, you step down with your foot and when you want to aim low, you relax. That really works well also.

That must be awesome to have a range like that just outside your house! Now that I think about it, it probably has the added benefit of being a theft deterrent. One look at that range and a thief would be out of his mind to attempt a break-in:)

:rolleye0011: I never even thought of my shooting as crime prevention. But now that you joke about it, I am sure all my neighbors in hearing range know that I shoot a lot of rifles off. And I am sure in their day to day conversations they complained about the crazy old guy in the woods that shoots rifles off each day. They also were afraid of my dog, but in reality, that old devil would have licked them to death. :):)

Hahahaha. Great fun none the less!!! I really am surprising myself when I hit that plate out there. Just to know it can be done might make me some money one day or at least win me a few beers.

I took a look in my Lyman Black Powder book for the energy of your load and the closest it has is 58 cal, 276 gr RB, 32" barrel w/ 1:48 twist, 110 gr 2f goex, FPE @ 100 yds 632. You put that in the boiler room you'll be haveing Tenderloins for supper.:s2:

By the looks of that plate, I would say you've got it dialed in.

HA
