Lehigh Knight elite primer conversion

Ok, I got it. Finally.

Machined well. Kinda surprised the adaptor that takes the place of the red primer holder is so loose. But can't foresee and issue.

So, the big question, what is everyone using to dig out a 209 primer now? Or do you just shake it out?

The primer should just drop out.

When Lehigh Dave first made the adapter it was not as loose... He is a perfectionist, he is not much for loose fitting parts, so it was tighter and snug in the sample gun that he was using. But as testing went on and the different guns indicated the tolerances in the bolts varied over a fairly wide range, so the slot was opened to allow it to fit a greater number of guns.

Just drop the primer in the the adapter.... close the bolt and shoot the gun... oprn the bolt pull it back to extract the spent primer... turn the gun to the side and the spent primer will fall out...

Drop a new primer in and repeat the process... slick as a whistle.

When you install the new primer primer I hav found it is easiest for me to put the gun on a verticle plain set the primer on the ledge of the action and adapter then flatten the gun a bit and the primer falls in place. After you have done this a few times it becomes automatic amd easy... even to the point that you no longer worry about hunting with it.

I have shot over 100 rounds with my conversion and have yet to have a primer stick. Like they said, open the bolt, I tilt the gun upward and to the side and give it a slight if any needed at all, shake and the primer is gone. You are really going to like this thing. Wait until you see how clean the bolt and breech area is. No more scope bikini needed, and it is solid. Dave done a great job designing this and making it. A top rate job. And believe me, I am not easily impressed.

Thanks guys.

I was just worried, that murphy's law wouldn't take over in a hunting situation. One thing I did like about the red pimer holders and discs. Easy to drop in and easy to fall out. but if I can get rid of all the mess at the primer area, it will be worth it.

Less mess and it saves you from ever having to buy red FPJ's!

Finally got around to shooting my elite with this conversion. Cleanest I have ever seen in the breach area. Works great.

Wierd thing is I have more of a crud ring with 777 powder than with my factory breach plug.

But A+

I have 5 of them, from the GenI to the last batch sold through Lehigh. I never used any T7 powder but i know the T7 primers work fine in all of mine. They were designed mainly for BH209 so your results with T7's crud ring might vary.
