Jeez!

I sent an email to Green Mountain barrels a while back about a scope base for their black powder barrels. I asked them since their barrels were drilled and tapped for a scope base, maybe they could tell me where I might purchase a base for one. I recently got a response giving me a bunch of buisnesses websites. None of which have a scope base for an octogonal black powder barrel. Why drill and tap a barrel for something that I am beginning to believe DOES NOT EXIST! And if it does exist, I wish someone could tell me where I could find one.

I wonder if Knight MK85 flat bases will fit?

PM SEMISANE, i am sure he has a couple GMB replacement LRH barrels that are scoped.GM they most likely are drilled to Knight specs. Ray

when you call, you need to ask for someone in the shop, that knows the drilling specs. nice people there, but the gals in the office don't know much about technical issues. Ray

pluckit, what is the spacing between the screw holes? I have a mount that may fit.
Send me a pm with the measurement.

The GM barrels are drilled and tapped for the TC Scope base. Which TC no longer makes the base. I found one on ebay. The number is 9953. Its for all TC octogon barrels. They will work on GM barrels. Just check ebay and amazon.

Is this it?

This auction is closed, but if you scroll to the bottom there is a picture of the mount that you need. Just needs to be a 9953. I know that there are some other scope mounts that work on the GM barrel. But I could never find them. Maybe if you called GM again and talked to someone in the shop.

I found one for you. Here is the link. http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/Vie...Item=222106025
You'll have to bid for it. So hopefully it wont get too expensive

Here is some on Numrich website, but they don't list the part number. I would call them before you buy it. http://www.gunpartscorp.com/catalog/...600&catid=6061

Thanks. I'll call them. I've never bought anything on EBAY and I'm not comfortable doing it.

Someone posted elsewhere that some of the Ironsighter scope mounts for TC guns are made to fit the existing sight holes. Details are lacking on the Ironsighter website but you can give them a call and ask.

Ironsighter Co., Westland, MI - phone 734-326-8731

Here's their scope mount listings for TC models:
