He's cleaned a few of them in his life. He's also got a sharp knife and a good saw.

I never bring them home with the guts in them. I leave all of that in the woods. I do have a friend that can field dress (not skinning) a deer so fast that it would shock most people. I mean this guy has them open and the intestines removed in minutes.

must have a lot of poaching experience to get it done that fast :D

Another thing.. normally when I get to them to skin... they are frozen solid. The worst part of skinning a deer in the northern country is.. when they are frozen, my fingers go numb from the cold of the meat and the hide. Also the hide is a little stiff by then.

wow: cool just under 3MIN

Some places do not want you to gut them in the field. My friend hunts Alabama and he said you take the whole deer to the processor and they skin and gut it.

I myself gut them in the field. Easier to drag gutless. :D

shoot, after the processor charged us $50 to skin a deer, we decided we're doing everything our self this year LOL.

Right on the money, as usual. Having worked in a butchershop/deli as a kid I can tell you, the right tools make all the difference.
