Default Barrel rebore

I have a T/C Renegade with a 56cal smoothbore barrel that is pitted. I bought the gun for the pretty nice stock it had and put the barrel in the closet where it has been for a few years.
Can the barrel be rebored to 58cal? Would it be cost effective to do so or just get a GM; but I like the shorter length? Anyone know where it could be rebored?
Thanks

There is a gunsmith back east that does these re-bore jobs and any twist you want... think it was $150. It is a rebore but he put an insert in the bore.

I can not remember who or where for sure - I might be able to find it, but I think it was on Modern Muzzleloader's forum.

bronko22000 knows who the person is. I believe it to be Bob Hoyt. Phone number 717-642-6696.
But I think I would decide what size bore I wanted and get a new IBS (Interchangeable Barrel System) barrel from Green Mountain. That's what I did. http://www.gmriflebarrel.com/search....arrel%20systym But I still have to fiure out what to do with my rusty old .54 cal. barrel. Have you gotten all the rust out? Check out this post. 54 Cal. Evapo Rust Treated Renegade barrel targets. If you go down to about the forth reply it is made by bronko and you will see the info on the person who rebores barrels. http://www.huntingnet.com/forum/subs...er=desc&page=2
If you have not taken care of all of the rust I have plenty of experience with that and can give you some very good advice.

Pluckit is correct. I had a rusty 50 cal 1:48 T/C barrel that I had bored out and sleeved with a 1:28 twist by Mr. Hoyt. It is an excellent shooter.

Thanks or the info; I'll check it out. The barrel is clean; no rust just pitts.
thanks
