Ahhh be brave! I used to have my old 45 deer creek northwest rifle set up for hunting with a 1/2lb trigger! Now that baby was smooth shooting in the field.

Exactly and when your all pumped up with a buck or whatever in your sights, a 1-1.5 LB difference will never be noticed and it won't go off on accident..once you have personally seen it happen as i have, it will never be worth the risk..leave the 2lb trigger pulls for the bench shooters...

Lol. Yeah, it's not as easy as it looks. Takes LOTS of practice. Hell, some days I shoot like your brother-in-law. It can be frustrating.

It depends on the action of the rifle and the shooter. If the rifle can only fire when the hammer is c0cked (e.g. T/C Omega) and you shoot with a thin glove or bare-fingered, why should 2 lbs be too light if that's what the shooter prefers? There is no reason to c0ck the thing until the shot presents itself.
