Wow! That's a tad more than I'm willing to spend for an old timey look.

Yeah, but think how good you will look walkin' into the woods with this rig.

Im not big of the scope but i still love that carbine. One day i will have one of them in 54cal just to have a 1-24 in a good looking sidelock.

It would take a lot more than a scope to make me look good. However, I find I begin to look very sexy after I've had several tequila shots.

This is exactly the one you are talking about. I love it. I hunt with Barnes Expander sabots with 85 grs. of 2f and practise with a R.E.A.L conical and she shoots just wonderful. This is why I put this high dollar scope on her.

With me I start seeing everything good after about two or three shots of the "Old Man".

If/when i find one, im just going to get a peep that i can remove the aperture and use it as a ghost ring type. Ive seen them before at Cabelas and they really are "purdy" in person and i like a recoil pad. I came close to getting one when i wanted a new 54cal but i fell in love with the GMB54 and it was cheaper.

They are very unique though. You dont see many traditional styled 54s with a 1-24.

The scopes they put out come in three lengths, 17", 18" and 32". 17" is the one I have in 3x. The 18" comes in 6x. I figure I was going to be hunting in the think woods of Virginia and 3x would be just fine. Most of the scopes I use for hunting are in 2.5x.

I have another Malcolm style scope that was made by Tasco years ago and is all brass. I will be putting it on my H&R 1871 rifle. I will post that one when it is done.
Im doing good Buddy Thank's for asking, and I hope all is well with you! Thank's fot that link on the Scopes, but you are right you will look good in the woods, kinda that Clint Eastwood look, all you need to do now is change your hat and add a pinch or a chewed off cigar and some ol mangy dog to spit on
You gonna get sick of hearing what kind of scope is that!
It's nice and sure adds some ol time class to your MLer.
