Guaranteed Dead Center Accuracy

Guys, most of us have been BS-ing together for several years and have developed a close on-line friendship.

That being said, I feel compelled to reveal to you my long held secret for assuring your first shot will hit center bull each and every time. As we all know, that's a great way to impress onlookers.

I stumbled upon this method many many years ago, but have kept the secret until now. Get yourself a cushion of some sort - a one-inch thick sheet of foam rubber about a foot square is perfect. Lay the cushion on the floor. Place a target on top of the cushion (NOTE: It must be the exact kind of target you plan to shoot later).

Now, standing next to the cushioned target on the floor, drop your bullet directly onto the center of the bullseye. In my experience, it takes at least 700 consecutive drops to train the bullet. Of course, if you miss the bullseye on one of the drops you have to start over. However, after 700 successful drops that bullet will be adequately trained, and will hit the center bull perfectly when you later fire it at a target.

Forum members may feel free to use my bullet training method. But please don't tell others about it.

I've often thought about using this method to train a bullet for hunting. But it's so darn difficult to get a deer to lay down on the floor and hold still while you drop bullets on it.

I put the bullet in a blow tube and puff it through the tube with the muzzle of the tube just off the target. Doesn't waste as many targets....

You must have stole that one from the Weasel. That sounds like one of his techniques for sure.

Forgot to mention this. Barnes all copper bullets are easier to train `cause they're not as dense as lead.

That makes perfect sense so a Lehigh Bullet being all brass should be easiest of them all.

And I was supposed to go shopping with the wife today too. Not now. "Sorry honey, I have to stay and train my bullets."

What a great idea to train bullets. But you forgot to mention which floors give the best & fastest results--dirt-hardwood-tile-carpet or igloo snow flooring for us up here in the great white north.

I found the Fastest way to Train them is to Not Drop them onto the Target but to actually Push them over and over again through the Bullseye, you dont get any Fylers this way:biggrin:

Semi, I belive you've been inhaling more than black powder smoke. I often wondered what was in that pipe of yours...

I collect whitetail scat Bronko. Properly dried, it makes for a cool mellow smoke with a distinctive aroma. As an added bonus, smoking prime scat from a doe in estrus while on a deer stand really brings in the bucks.

Now "that" belongs in a magazine article. Something "really useful" for a change???
