How many, and how

How many guns do you have, and how do you store them? Gun safe, wooden display case, closet...........

I am looking for what you store them in. Do you just stand them in the closet, or do you have a gun safe, hang them on the wall.......

I have a entire 12 foot wall that is a run rack. They are stacked kind of close I know, but that is how I store them. I wipe them down every few weeks, and check the bores every three months whether I shoot them or not. I also have a couple of gun cabinets full also. And now I am leaning them in corners, so I am done buying more rifles.

I have about 16 or so total. Centerfire, Rimfire, Pistol, Shotguns, and Muzzleloader. All are clean and wiped downed. Barrel isn't oiled inside, due to dry climate. Most are all in a safe that is bolted to the floor. There is no way in heck anyone is getting in. A few are around the house for defense. Also in the safe I have a dehumidifier, not that I need one, but I suppose it doesn't hurt.

I clean them up good and store in the zippered gun cases with the muzzle pointed down in the closet. The pointed down trick is so that no oil stays in the breech area during storage. Never had any problems with moisture or rust.

I have several from .22 to 30-06, shotguns and blackpowder rifles. All are oiled and stored in the hard plastic cases with foam padding. I have stored them that way for many years and never had a rust problem. But I oil them pretty good before putting them away. I really should get a safe.

I have some in a wood display cabinet and some up in the closet. Living in KS I worry about rust and humidity. I go heavy on the oil and make sure I don't touch any metal as I put them away.

I check them every few months and reapply oil as needed.

As my inventory builds I should look into a safe. They're the most valuable things I own should I ever be robbed.
