info on a Grey Hawk

Does anyone have experiance with the T/C Grey Hawk. I have the chance to get one for around $125-$150. Any info would be great.

The gray hawk was a traditional style rifle with a stainless barrel. I think the lock was stainless as well. It has a 1-48 twist and from all I remember hearing about them, they are very good roundball shooters. If that rifle is in good shape, that is an excellent price.

Thanks Cay, I was woundering what the twist was. Yes the comonants are stainless on the gun. Problem is the guy doesn'tknow if he has the correct barrel for it. Would the barrel from a cougar be a good replacement for the setup, the cougar came with stainless under rib and ramrod holders,

they are stainless steel, black synthetic stock versions of the new englander rifle. 1:48 twist. for one in good shape that's a steal..

i have one in .50 and it likes the 245g buffalo ball-ets over 80g vol. T7-3F...karl

i had one, loved the thing in the looks and accuracy department. With the synthetic stock and hard rubber pad on the butt, it kicked like a mule. That was the only down side.

I figured it would would be a fun gun to play around with. Maybe make a laminate stock for it, it would look cool as hell with the stainless. I really hope the guy can find the barrel. I wish I had so many gubs that I couldn't remember what I did with the barrel to one.

Believe me.. it drives you crazy just trying to remember what they shoot and where you put the other barrel.

cayugad 01-20-2011 06:40 PM

I think the GrayHawk had a short 24 inch barrel while the Cougar had a 28 inch barrel.

Yup your right Cay, The grey had a round barrel and the cougar was octagon. I would have to change the tang out, but if I'm going to build a stock for it it wouldn't matter. NOW I just need to get permision for the fianance committee. Being that I've bought a couple of guns since xmas we might have to go to arbitration over this one
