If I did not oil the barrel in Wisconsin humidity and climate it would be a rust bucket in no time. Yet if I oil them, they will stay fine for many many years.

Ok, thats what I thought. I guess thats another plus to living in MT. No humidity! Like I said, all I have to do is clean, dry, and put it away.
