I'm trying to get an owners manual for this pistol but CVA has yet to respond to the email I sent to them about 2 weeks ago. Can anyone help me find one. It's a CVA Kentucky .45 cal. So do you notice anything different about it since the last time I posted a picture of it? I have some .440 round balls and some .45 cal. 225 grain Maxi Balls for it, but I really would like to try some Powerbelts with it. Hey, how about those .451 cal. Speer JHP's Ive been looking at, do you think they would work in it? And do you think they would work in an 1851 Colt Navy Revolver? It uses a .451 cal round ball.

I've never owned a Pistol like that,but ,I believe I would stick to round ball.

i wouldnt go over 30gr 3F. Well maybe 40gr 3f. Deer Creek takes care of the info on those kind of CVA's. CVA sold all their traditional stock in either 2001 or 2002, i forget which.

From what little information I've been able to find on the weapon, 40 grains fff is the maximum load.

If you ever get a copy of the owners manual, let me know, I need one also. I would love to see picks of all the parts to see what I am missing on mine if you have one.

i shoot 30 grains pyro out of my cva kentucky 50 cal. nice gun but the trigger is a little sloppy and rattley.

Thats because they dont use a retaining spring like the newer models use. You can add one very easily.
