Do you think it would be any different than gumout?

Are you thinking using it on carboned up Bh 209 breech plugs? for 6.00 may be worth a try.

that along with #11 perc. nipples. My sidelocks have a ton of build up in there and i figured for $6 it may be worth a try. I dont know what they charge for shipping though so that will be the deciding factor LOL.

Exactly....I use Gumout also, it works great on the Throttle Body's of My Trucks so one day I figured Hummmmm if it works that good on the Carbon on them then why not on My Breechplugs.
It worked ok, nothing to write home about and it was only about $2.40 a can at Wally World

plain white vinegar works just as well, for the breech plug.

SeafoamŪ, can be had at any auto parts store. Used for cleaning carbon from pistons, throttle bodies etc. Comes in spray and pourable liquid. Use it regularly in my motorcycle and truck. Soak my breech plugs in it overnight.

Bingo, give the man his prize!!!!

For many years i've used Windex with vinegar, now called Multi-Purpose Windex. Just spray it on and you can watch see the crud disappear. The more stubborn stuff can be removed with a toothbrush. It takes me two minutes to clean a breechplug.

Not sure if it works on crud left from BlackHorn. It works with the crud left after firing BP the other substitutes. The crud left after firing BP, Pyrodex, 777, APP, JSG, Black Mag, and Pinnacle all contains a base. An acid will destroy a base.

Before leaving the range my guns get bore swabbed using a patch wet with Windex with vinegar. Speeds up the cleaning at home.
