Why did u choose the W209 VS any other primer?

Really no specific reason, maybe other than length. I just about used a Winchester T7 primer because I was shooting the T7 first - but then decided to go with the Winchester w209 because it is the coolest regular 209 primer that I have and I am not a fan of the mag primers. Plus over time we have found that hot primers are not needed with the Lehigh conversion - especially the vent liner portion of the plug... |

I was thinking on trying some .40 /185 or .40/200 Leighs after I start on the Speers with some loose t7 powder and was confused on if the primer I select would have much different results |

I do shoot BH on occasion and mostly for testing purposes. Most of the time when I am shooting - I do shoot a Win T7 primer. The only time I moght make a switch is during hunting season - i would switch to a Remington 209-4 primer. These are no longer avaiable but they were designed for the 410 shot gun shell. They are a bit hotter than the the T7 primer but yet cooler than the w209. A lot of time primer selection really depends on what is available locally. Luckly I do a lot of trap shooting also so getting primers is not a real problem. |
oh ok.. I'll try the T7 primers and T7 loose powder & Pellets with all the projectiles
