A mount that works on cva inlines

http://www.opticsplanet.net/egw-cva-...ount-2476.html
I am sure a lot of guys here have the Optima,Accura, and find the facotry LOP are made for Giants 14 1/2"
I find the above mount to work great, but there a draw back you will need to drill a extra hole to get the base mount back over the firing pin housing .The base is undercut out so there will no problems in opening and closing the rifle.I have a 13 1/4" LOP
The base will except weaver rings and if needed a little more for eye relief you can order the weaver off set extension rings that will give another 3/4" to the rear.
I would drilling a extra base screw mount will give you 3 screw hold down.I don't think the base will move with lock tight.
I also think the 2 screw with lock tight won't move either .I have a t/c thunderhawk that comes with split bases and only has 1 screw hold on each front and rear base .I can say the 12 years it has never moved on me.
Happy holidays

Talley makes a 1 piece rings and bases (high) #950752 for the optima. you can go there web site and but it direct or look around on the web.IMHO it doesn't get any better.

Makes a lot more sense to just cut the stock than to go thru all that to make a scope fit.

A 5 inch eye relief like the Nikon Omega would help. I wish TC would make there's longer it easy to cut them down but you can not add and have it look nice.

I don't think plastic stocks are that easy to cut compared to wood.
The stocks have the mounting screws for the recoil pad built in to them on the mould :I would have no problems if it was wood the chop saw would of fixed it for sure

I took the stock off my Accura, measured up 1 inch, marked it, placed it on my chop saw and with one easy cut took 1 inch off as smooth as a babies butt. Drilled the recoil pad screw holes a little deeper into the mold and put it back on. Works perfect and no one knows the difference. A lot easier than drilling holes for screws in a steel mount or in a barrel.

The ACCURA has 4 screw holes on the Barrel for the Mount. I have the Original CVA 2 Piece Mount and High Base Ring Set for both My ACCURA's, it works Great for My Leupold Ultimate Slam MLer Scope's
I did Buy CVA's New Durasight Z2 Alloy High Base See Thru Mount and Rings but the High Base Style was Too High for the ACCURA, I had to lift My Head up too high to see thru the Scope.
I was kinda Mad as the Durasight Ring Set is what they replaced the Old Version of CVA's Scope Base and Ring Set with. I guess if I had to I'd buy the Low Base Set of the CVA Durasight, But I like the See Thru's.
When you find something that you really really like and it works Buy 2 if you can afford it. It never seems to fail when I dont they discontinue it or change the style.
