That is just an awesome buck. Congratulations on that muzzy kill and thanks for sharing. What was the deer doing and how did you come upon him or was it the other way around?:happy0157:

Outdrdave 12-23-2010 07:58 PM

gregrn43 12-23-2010 08:15 PM

Very nice buck congratulations

rdpettit 12-24-2010 04:04 AM

Watched him for hour/hour and a half and got in position (crawling) and got him as he was passing. Wind changed after we got in position. Four does busted us and a group of three bucks were following. He was second in line. First buck was looking at us because of the wind change-as soon as the second buck was viewable (slope of hill) I shot.

Nice buck.

By Chappell and Oshkosh? I've played sports at both, and live less than 2hrs away.

rafsob 12-24-2010 01:13 PM

Ain't got any of them monsters here in Virginia. Great buck.

Do they taste the same as white tail?

They tend to be more gamey IMO, but it's all about good preparation.

Just whacked my 1st ML wtail doe...I tend to do 90+% muley hunting (bonus tags are for wtail only)

That's straight north of 'em...I've still been to all the towns around there, same distance for me. Were you able to visit the bluff country to the southwest?

rdpettit 12-26-2010 12:48 PM

nope but did visit Gordon, Hay Springs and Chadron.
