Critter,

Nice shot there!
I've never had the opportunity to shoot a bedded deer.
Also, not familiar with the 240 gr,.452 Speer bullet. What No. is it?

Thanks,
Mark

It's a 45 caliber jacketed hollow point pistol bullet.

Cheap scape :) How can you shoot a 10 cent bullet. There should be a rule against that.

Do me a favor if you would look on the box, does it say anything about uni-core or hot core

Congrats on the shot and the harvest... I realy like the ones that stay put....

Ok, I looked on the box and I was wrong about the weight and the size. They're Speer , 45 cal, 260gr,.451 hollow points # 4481. I also have some Sierra 45 cal, 240gr JHC .4515, Power Jacket #8820. Both, the Speer and the Sierra look almost identical. They both are copper jacketed hollow points. Sorry about the mis info.

I was hoping the Speer were either a hot core or a uni-core, either of these two processes add to the strength of the bullet...

Here is the bullet.

Yep, I'm sold on them for use in my Knight but if I don't know how they would do if you loaded them hotter than the 85gr of 777 I use. I've taken 4 or 5 deer with them all have either dropped or fell within sight.

Those look exactly like the 260 gr Knight bullets I use. Anyone know if they are, or who makes the bullets that Knight sells?

Good job Critter :)
