went to an gunshop today, shoulder a number of guns.

handled an last year Wolf, the stock feels too light for my test. also handled an TC impact. also too light. the impact was an little odd feeling this time. the wolf shoulder fine.

next I held an CVA Optima thumbhole ($259)and an Remington Genesis thumbhole ($369) as well liked the feel of both.

I am crunching the numbers now. lol

This is really difficult to say but of those two, both off shore guns, i would do the Optima... I think it looks better...

I think I am going to hold off until after the first of year to buy something, for one I want to see what knight is going to offer, if they put something out in the $200 to $400 price range. I am planning on really getting my first brand new inline.

second reason, I have 2 projects I may start on soon since everything is calming down a little. my stock project for my win apex and my conical lube project.
I may have an kit build project for my friend too lol. I had one priced at the same place I looked that those guns at. $304 plus tax.

So, you're definitely going inline? I'm headed the other way:
I've been thinking about a Long rifle .45, but realized what I'm really after is a 1:60 twist for prb. So, I've been looking at barrels only, or sell a T/C to finance an older Lyman GPR .50.
Half the fun is shopping though.

I have an 50 and 54cal, I don't need anything else, well maybe an flint, bp 6 shooter, maybe an single shot.

also looking for an 308 rifle. they had an mil surp for 350.
