RED DOT
Has anyone ever used a red dot scope on there muzzleloader
are they hard to keep clean and how' s the accuracy ? Also are BSA red dot scope' s any good ? The wally world here sold out of the Tasco ones they had and the BSA ones are just setting there. I also seen a Simmons but I would have to have it ordered in and didn' t know if they were any better. I know you usually get what you pay fore but I like the size of 30mm tube' s on theses over the smaller higher priced ones. |
RE: RED DOT
6.5 CARCANO ,
I have a red dot , and they will work well if properly sighted in like any scope . They are particularly good for quick target aquisition , running shots are similar to scope . You still have to center the dot like crosshairs or you' ll miss a lot . BSA bites , save your money for a better one like that Simmons you mentioned . Cheap ones are only good for bb guns or getting used to red dots before buying a good one . |
RE: RED DOT
My experience with them hasn' t been that good. The bigger ones are harder to center the dot in and the smaller ones don' t seem to have enough field of view. I went to a peep sight and like it better.
