Those sure are beautiful carbines but im highly biased. I love a brush gun and that Hawkens carbine is hard to resist.

The ones they have now are listed as 1-24 twist which is fine with me since i dont shoot PRBs.

I have two of these gems. One I bought from Cabelas for around $399. This one has the 1 in 24" twist. I shoot Barnes Expander sabots in the Cabelas gun.

The only difference in this gun and the second gun is about 1" of barrel length.

The second one I got off of one of the auction house sites for $179. This gun is identical to the Cabelas gun (InvestArms). Now this second gun has a twist rate of 1 in 66". This is my PRB shooter.

It is a Lyman Plains Rifle. It doesn't say it is a Great Plains or Plains Hunter, it just says Plains.
