does not make since
I hate hunting in the rain, I will think twice about going out.
but when it snows, I rush home from work, don't change cloths, grab an ml or my bow, and get on my stand. first real snow of the year, I just got off from an 10hrs shift, back hurting so bad, I could barely walk, but the snow was falling, did not even strip off my work shirt. had an nice coffee smell going. GRABBED MY BOW and headed out for an hour. few signs but nothing. since I was not dressed to hunt, nothing really warm on, I headed in. lol |

I know what you mean... I love hunting in the snow. If i could go I would be gone now... I had to hunt elk this year the second week in October... It was shirt sleeve weather and dry dry dry.... not good... |
I wish we got to hunt in the snow once in awhile.

with right clothing and especially the right boots, hunting in the snow can be a lot of fun. I really do enjoy it.

Hunting in snow, the main thing for me is keeping my feet and fingers warm. If my fingers and toes are warm I can take a lot of weather abuse.
Although I hunted one year and got so cold I developed the start of hypothermia. When I got out of the woods I was already in uncontrollable shivers and had a hard time even walking. And it was all my fault. I never been that cold in my life. |

I love to be in the woods when it starts to snow. For some reason deer seem to get up and move. When it snows hard,I love to still hunt.got a big doe in the snow last sat.

I like to hunt in the snow. I wish I could have gone out yesterday afternoon and then again this morning. Friday afternon/night we got about 6 inches of snow, then Saturday afternoon it cleared out and warmed up into the mid 20's and sunny. Now again this morning there's just light flurries. Not sure why but when I look out my window it seems I should be out in my stand. But I think I'm on kid duty the next several mornings, and work in the afternoons. We have one more week of muzzleloader season and then that's it until next year.
As for still hunting, I understand the concept, but I think I'm horrible at it. I've tried it a couple times, and am yet to see anything. I think I'm probably too loud, but I'm not sure. |

On the 18th, instead of me stumbling into deer, they stumbled into me, whilst i was moving quiet, slow, and the wind was right; my tag was notched. |
