On The Hunt

Well Hello All.I am very interested in getting into muzzleloaders. So I am looking to buy a new Inline, and Flintlock.Need some help on Cal.. Brand Etc......Oh also they will be used for deer, bear etc....

The choices are endless of course MUZZYMAN, and there's always the "how do they fit you" thing.

But you asked. If it were me I would be getting a .54 Lyman Great Plains flintlock and a .50 TC Omega.

I would second the .54 caliber Lyman Great Plains Rifle as the flintlock. But for the inline I would look at a T/C Triumph or a CVA Accura V2 in .50 caliber of course.

Semisane Thats just what I been looking at.Now cayugad the T/C Triumph is a very nice rifle and Its a maybe. But the CVA is out of the question.I like the looks and feel of a nice made in the U.S.A gun.You know what I mean

The Triumph is one of my favorites. You sure cant beat a Knight Elite with a Lehigh conversion. Knight is also bringing out a new ML in early 2011. Not sure of how much hurry you are in.

Lyman Deerstalker is the best Flintlock i ever owned.
