You might try the Speer .452/250 grain Gold Dot/Deep Curl. It is an awesome bullet... This is a production bullet and available in the $20-$25 mark for 50 bullets

Here is a picture of some expanded Deep Curls from a torture test I ran a long time back...

If you want a preimium bullet - then I would suggest a Lehigh .452/250 grain brass bullet. These things are awesome. You can find in this collection. They are more expensive, not something you might want to use for target practice.

The real big thing is going to be to find the correct fitting sabot fot you bore. The TC bore can really be tight when new and will take some shooting to get it broke in. One thought when you get it clean the bore extremely well. Use a high grade solvent like butches bore shine or Barnes CR-10. Let that stuff soak in the bore for several minutes. Then I would suggest running a few strokes (like a 100) of JB's bore paste to smooth adn ploish the bore.

Which sabots do you have on hand right now?

I generally shoot/hunt with 250gr shockwaves, but have used 240gr cheap shots and 240gr XTPs as well
