Call Traditions on the phone. Tell them your problems. We would sure be interested in their response. If worse comes to worse, take the barrel to a gunsmith and have him remove the plug, or send it to Traditions. They will remove the plug and can check the barrel. If the rifle does need a new barrel, they could supply that as well.
This is a good time to point out. There are rifles coming out that claim quick release breech plugs. I was told some of them claim the plug needs no anti seize or Teflon tape. While that all sounds good... I would not put my faith in the company hype or their word. They are trying to sell a product and will promise about anything to do so. A little anti seize goes a long way. Or a simple wrap of tape.
Also get them plugs out ASAP after shooting. The longer you leave them in the gun the harder they can be to remove.
