Burris or Nikon
 

For a CVA Accura V2 - looking at the Nikon Omega 8443 or the Burris Fullfield II 2-7 X 32 APG.

Can someone point me to an objective review of either?

Try doing a search over at opticstalk.com. There should be quite a few opinions on both.

I hate it when I ask a question about product "A" versus "B" and someone goes and recommends product "C", but I am going to do it anyway, only because there is limited time to act. Consider looking at a Vortex Viper 2-7x32. For not much longer you can pick up one of these for around $170. Apparently Vortex is discontinuing the 2-7 Viper (but not the Viper line). The glass and build of the Viper compares favorably to the Nikon Monarch and Bushnell 4200 lines, meaning a significant step up from what you are considering, and for less money.

Not affiliated or anything. In fact, I picked up a 2-7 just before they slashed the prices. Bummed about not waiting a few months, but am very happy with the scope.

Of the two you mention, I have a Nikon Omega. Great Scope, great glass, great warranty, great eye relief (which is very important with muzzleloaders), and so far tough as nails.

I also like other scopes, but you can't go wrong with a Nikon.

I have two Nikon Omega scopes; I have had 40 or more scopes in my life and find the Nikon Omega to be the best for muzzle loaders. I have not had any Burris scopes so no comment on them.

i say the burris. i have many and like them all. one piece construction and lifetime warranty. I don't like the nikons, the field of view is narrow due to the long eye relief. also don't like the nikon bdc circles, burris has had that technology for years and they even give you a chart for different loads for their ballistic plex.

Of you two you suggested, I perfer the Nikon. It's a tough scope

I'd check out the Nikon Pro Staff personally. My brother in law mounted one on his wolf and its crystal clear.

I have the nikon omega and the pro staff. But don't over look the mueller scopes, I have 3 of them and they are great.

I have had a Nikon ucc scope on my ruger number 1 since they came out years ago. Still working great and good bright optics.
