Default question on 777

Is the max load for 777 a 100gr? Or can you go 120? Thanks

According to Hogdon its 120gr of loose but what does your gun manual say? Some guns are rated for up to 100gr loose and more if you use pellets.

As long as your are within the recommended range your gun will tell you want it thinks is max too. Most of my best loads are less than the recommended max.

Its a Knight Disc, pretty sure it can handle 120 loose, 150 in pellets

The Knight DISC is one of a few rifles that you can shoot 150 grains of loose T7 in. This chart might help you.

But just keep in mind that the biggest load the gun can handle is seldom the most accurate load the gun will shoot.

And I should have said as Flounder indicated... I have shot 150 grain loads just to see... but it really is not productive.

My Disc Extreme shoots 130 gr 777 really accurate. I use it as my long range Antelope gun with that load and a 250gr shockwave w/ black sabot.

My TC Triumph loves 110 grains of T7 3f under a 200 grain SHockwave with CR sabot. Often times 3 shot one hole groups at 100 yards off the bench.

I have a Knight Disc Extreme and I shoot 110 grn T7, 2f, with a 250 SST low drag, red sabot, not the stick one. I just also want to say that 150grns of T7 pellets ARE NOT the same as 150grns of T7 loose!!!!!!!! It will blow the hell out of your gun!!!!!!! Loose generates approx. 25% more pressure than pellets and thats why they claim the max is 120 grns of loose T7.
