It's just about perfect Hawkeye.

Fairly simple Devil. Take off the nipple, unscrew the drum, and screw in the touch hole liner. For the lock, I had to remove a little wood in the lock mortise for the main spring which is broader on the L&R lock than on the Pedersoli lock, and for one screw head. Otherwise it was a drop-in. I used a 1/4" drill bit turned by hand for the area where the screw head was touching, and a Dremel tool to make a channel about three inches long, one-quarter inch wide, and one-eight inch deep for the lock spring.

I'm going to just leave it with the L&R bead blasted finish Karl, and see what color it changes to. Maybe one day I'll want to sand it smooth, polish it, and have it engraved a little. But it looks fine to me as is.

It's an aftermarket sight that was on the gun when it got it Moose. I really like it. But I think I'm going to tap it so I can screw in disks with different size apertures.

Very nice. Is that L&R lock a good sparker?

It's sparking pretty good with the Rich Pierce flint I put in it Cayugad.

I hope to give is a work out next weekend, along with the Rem 700ML which now has a nipple installed. Gotta do something `til the season opens and shooting a new flintlock and the untried "Rescued Remmie" seems like the way to go.
