777magnum pellets
Does anyone know if you can mix and match 777 magnum pellets and 50grain regular 777 pellets or even the 30grain?It seems to me if you could,it would give you a little variety of loads to chose from.:patriot:

You could do it, but burn the pellets you have and then forget 'em.

save the money, buy loose powders

Two pellets is roughly equal to 130gr of standard pellets since Hogdon does NOT recommend any 3 50/50 pellet charge. BTW T7 mag pellets are about the most expensive per shot powder option including BH209 loads with similar fps. They also gave me the worst fouling of any T7 product. They come in 50 packs at nearly the same cost as the 50/50s per 100. |
So to get more bang for my bucks it would be better to buy the T/7 loose powder in a 1# can compared to the 100 count T/7 pellets? I do want to try a few loads in the 110 grain to 120 grain, give or take. I want to see what works best in my CVA Optima.

My best accuracy with T7 was using 3FG and loads from 90-110grs in my 50cals. My current rifles have been BH209 only with the same powder range. Shooting conicals only 80gr-90grs seemed like the sweet spot for me. |
You'll be getting about ninety 100 grain volume charges out of a one-pound canister of 777 Pinestump.
