Finished... In time for Fall...

Took 1 year 9 months but I finally finished this project up. Everything was done by hand except drilling holes and cutting the butt to length for LOP...

50 Cal, 1:70, 42" B weight swamped Green Mountain tube... Chambers English lock...

50 yards off hand isn't an issue thus far into a 3 inch circle with 70 grains 3Fg and a .490 ball wrapped in a .012 linen patch.

Whitetail best beware come the season here...

What a beautiful piece of work there. Just beautiful. Top quality parts and top quality craftsmanship I see there. Nice rifle.

On top of being able to use hand tools and how to sharpen them there are a couple of very good books available that step you completely through the process... Even if you have a few under your belt you will find yourself browsing these references unless you build one right after another day in and day out.

That's a beautiful rifle. If I ever own anything like that, it will probably ruin my marriage. I would want my wife to sleep on the couch so I could cuddle my ML! :D
