We Want Bullet Performance Pictures
 

My deer season won't be open until mid-November. But for all of you guys who are already hunting or will be real soon - don't forget the camera.

We have a strange and unnatural craving for bullet performance reports, with pictures of the entrance/exit wounds.

Don't worry Semi, I'm heading out in a little under 2 weeks (Friday the 24th of Sept to be exact) and I'm pretty sure I'll at least score a doe that weekend and I'll take plenty of bullet wound/bullet performance pics. If I'm lucky I'll find the bullet and post after shot performance pics of that as well. BTW, I'll be using one of your favorite bullets; the Speer Gold-dot Hollowpoint (45 cal, 300 grain). Wish me luck!

Our season starts last weekend in OCT. Will see what I can do this yr to try and get some pics of entrance and exit.

I tried last yr to recover at least one of my sabots from the 3 deer I shot with my smokepoles. Unfortunatly even with a metal detector in hand and knowing exactly where the shots where placed I only found one small piece of copper smaller than a pencil eraser. (did find other junk though) I use Shockwaves and wanted to recover the sabot to see what it looked like.

Shot that buck with one of Chiefs Trashcans at 25 yards. He was quartering to went thru the right shoulder and took out both lungs and the heart.

Ah, the heartbreak of big lead. :p

I'd of thrown that heart in the trashcan... WOW!! that thing really did some damage. Our season starts mid November and muzzleloader season November/December.

Dang! I hate to see heart shots. One of the best parts of the deer. IMO

NOt much to show in the form of perfomance.. Anchor shot... one of the petals severed the spinal cord in the neck and another cut the coratid artery in the neck... The bullet core exited and was not found....



But it started out as a .458/275 grain Lehigh
