I got a Hawken
 

Man I have too many muzzleloaders. The last barrel I got was a Green Mountain 1-28 twist 45 cal. It is one of the last stainless barrels to leave the factory. I had it on a Cabelas hawken and I broke the stock. I have been looking for a TC hawken to use. Well I won an auction and it is on it's way. It is a good looking stock. The barrel has rust but I don't need the barrel.
I would like to use it for my Antelope hunt but I don't know if there is enough time. My load is a Lee 316 gr MINIE bullet. I size it to .444 and wrap it with a paper patch. I use 80 gr of pyrodex P with a over powder wad. It was a winning combo on the last stock. I hope this stock works out better. Ron

You better be careful talking like that. That's a blasphemous statement to make. You can never have to many muzzleloaders:biggrin::biggrin:. That 45 barrel is a great barrel. I bought one when GM was closing them out. I have a T/C Hawken stock and it is a tack driver on it. Extremely accurate with 100 gr 777 and a 200gr Hornady sst. Good luck with the new stock

I also have one and mounted a scope on mine. It is amazing the accuracy it can do. I shoot 100 grains of Goex 3f and a 250 grain XTP in a black harvester sabot.

Mine is a blue 1" 1:30 twist and is mounted in a Renegade stock with a 4X scope. It's a little heavy at 9 lbs. 11 oz. But DANG - it shoots GOOT!
