Looking for opinion on scope for my Accura

Looking at the Redfield Revolution 3-9X40 and the Bushnell DOA 250 3-9X40 for my CVA Accura. Does anyone have any opinions or reviews of either scope. These are in the price range I was looking to spend.

Thanks

Like the fact your going with the 3-9x40.......I think I would go with the Bushnell, I don't know much about the new Redfields. (I'm Leupold fan myslef) Also don't bother with that BS that the scope companies try to sell, like scopes just made for muzzleloaders and slug guns, or the other BS like DOA or BDC reticle, these are just added gimmicks. Get yourself a rifle scope be it on a muzzleloader or slug gun.

Also look into the Bushnell Trophy line scopes I think they are being replaced by a different model, but overall the new model is the same, the Trophy line maybe cheaper in price, just for them to get them sold and out of stock

Best of luck !!!!

While it could have been the individual scope; the Redfield 2X7 40 mm that I have in the drawer lasted only 2 months before recoil took it out. I keep it to remind me not to waste money on an other one.
I buy Nikon[usually the OMEGA] now and i have a Leopold and a Bushnell that have held up well.I do not believe the design of a Redfield is quite right for a muzzle loader but I have heard they do quite well on a cartridge gun.

heres one review,
Bushnell DOA

That is a good deal at Natchez, although I wonder what the difference between the Trophy and the Trophy XLT is? Is it that the older models are being phased out for the XLT and are the same?

Im not positive but the one I got at Natchez didnt come with the butler Creek flip up covers. The model with the covers was a bit more

I use Nikon, never read a bad report on them.Mine is Prostaff 3x9x40.I mounted it with Leupold QD. Removal for cleaning and return to zero is a non-issue.

I've got a Nikon Omega on my Accura and I like it very much. And yes the BDC works for me! I've got two Bushnell XT scopes on my two turkey shotguns that have worked out well also. I believe the Bushnell is cheaper but either one is fine IMO.

Thanks for all the replies and input. I just ordered a Leatherwood Hi-Lux Toby Bridges HPML Rifle Scope 3-9x 40mm. Hopefully it will suit my needs.
