Knight vision

I picked up a camo knight vision at the bps catalog outlet in springfield this week. I didn't know I needed a new bp, but for $217 out the door, I guess I did. It was originally marked $429. I first went for the krb7, but finally decided I liked the break open closed breech and the feel of the vision.

Anybody shooting one of these? Any load recommendations for whitetail out to 150 yds?

I am currently shooting a cva staghorn 45 cal. w/ 10mm hornady xtp's and 777. Has been a good deer combo. It is topped with a weaver grand slam 4.75x40.

If you prefer the XTP'S i would shoot the .452 250grn XTP"S. Either the short black MMP or the short black Harvester sabot should work just fine. The Knight Vision is a highly underated ML in my opinion.

I also got one last year at Sportsman's Guide. They are a really nice gun for that price. Like Grouse45 said They are under rated. I tried 3 or 4 different bullets in mine. 240 gr. xtp, 250 gr. xtp, 240 gr. Gold dot & 250 gr. Gold Dot. Mine shot the best group with 90 gr. Black Horn & a 44.cal 240 gr. Gold Dot. 100 yard target a hair over 1 inch group.

I bought one a year ago and paid a small sum of only $179 as a member of the Sportsman Guide. I put a Leupold Ultimate Slam scope on it. I love it, but have a few things to pass on.

I wanted to shoot Black Horn 209 in it, but had a small problem. I was using the wrong primer for the breach plug. I was using Winchester 209s and they didn't have enough umph for this gun. I got with the company and they recomended using either Federal 209A or CCI 209M primers. Bother of these primers are a magnum grade primer and are needed for the longer breach plug in the Knight Vision. Once I switched, all was great.

I amusing BH 209 powder with 95 grs. and a Hornday FPB 350 gr. bullet. I will try the 300 gr. bullet whenever I can get my hands on some. Here is my baby:

You may notice the offset rear rings. I had some problems with my eye relief and this fixed it. The offset ring was a Weaver 4x4 set and cost me about twenty bucks.

I know you will like your gun as much as I do. Good shooting and happy hunting.
