I'm just thinking I bet that 58 has the trajectory of a rainbow.
Not really all that bad Bronko, so long as you're in an iron sight frame of mind. Back in May I shot some targets at 50, 75 and 100 yards using 110 grains of GOEX FFg as measured in a TC U-View measure. Using a 6 o'clock hold on a three-inch bull, it grouped just about in the center of the bull at 50, just below the bottom edge of the bull at 75, and two inches below the bottom edge at 100.

A .575 ball that weighs around 285 grains can't match the trajectory of a 250 or 300 grain conical out of a .50 caliber, even at the same velocity. Still, if you're thinking 100 yards/iron sights, you're at no real disadvantage.

When I shoot 100 yards I move my POA up the bull according to distance. And they still slip them near the center. My problem is the long distances. Thank goodness this barrel was an old one with the real bronze ball front sight and then the adjustable back sight. It makes for a great rifle.

Nice shooting Dave. I am getting similar results with my .58 TC Big Boar and my PRBs. This target is my first outing with the Big Boar. My best three shot group for this setup was about 1.23" at 50 yds. Didn't have my camera that day.

I am taking mine to the range on Wednesday. I have three new conicals to try. As of now I am still using commerical patches, but they are getting close to running out. I will be gettng some pillow ticking and lube them up. When going to Wallie world do the bolts of fabric have the thickness listed on them? I need .015".

I will post a range report on the conicals performance.

If you go to Wally World and get their 100% cotton pillow tick, blue or red stripe that material would work just fine for you.

That is some outstanding shooting there. These big bores are a lot of fun. I really enjoy shooting them. Especially into non paper targets like cans and stuff. I have a bunch of old paint cans I might fill with water and then hang in trees back in my woods then have some friends over for a woods walk.

Boy oh boy I've been wanting to do some shooting, but with the temps above 100 for the past 4 days its just to dang hot to shoot. I will be glad to see some rain and temps down to 90.
