Well When we went to florida we had alittle issue before we left and I took my triumph and my bow to the local pawn shop. :mad: been putting it off but tuesday I am going to pick them up. When I got there I noticed the triumph had a spent primer on it. :mad: Well I would only do that if it was loaded. My way of saying hey dumbass I am loaded. I checked and yes she was loaded. When I went in I told the guy and he said since it was a muzzle loader not to worry about it. I would have preferred to go home clean it and come back but it was to late and we where leaving the next day.

Luckly I did not shoot it but once during gun season. SO it was cleaned some time around dec 18 and left loaded in my safe till march 5 then in a case till tuesday.

Should I clean it out or take it to the range and see if she fires and if it will make the 100 yard shoot? Would be nice to see if the T7 would be fireable after nearly 6 months but I do not want to risk hurting something.

WOW!! that thing has been loaded a long time. It would be interesting to take it to the range. But I would be sure to take all the tools necessary to take the gun apart, push out the charge, and then clean the rifle right there. Also, depending on the powder you were shooting, it should be interesting to see if there was any damage to the barrel.

I do not personally leave guns loaded. Good luck with your rifle.

Same here. Except for my home/self-defense gun, a revolver, all my guns are kept unloaded, un****ed and locked in a cabinet when not in use. 3 year-olds are curious critters!

I will know wensday morning. I use 777 powder and that's is what is in the gun.

I have left one with powder and bullet in it from the end of one deer season to the beginning of the next and it fired just fine and as accurate as any other shots I have taken from it. Only problem I might see is that you are in Florida where the humidity is pretty high. I bet it fires like a champ.

Me neither especially if it's a blued barrel and I will tell you guys why. I left mine loaded for a week during hunting season last year since I didn't get a shot the first few times I went. When I finally shot it to unload it, I cleaned it and for some reason the barrel seemed to have some rust in it. I didn't realize it would happen in that short time but it did. It was a pita to get out. So from now on I don't leave them loaded either.

I dont Understand, you said you left it at the Pawn Shop and when you picked it up it had a (Spent Primer) on it? Well if the Primer was spent then it should have been shot and not loaded, why would you put a spent Primer on a loaded ML?
I have left ML'ers loaded from the end of Hunting Season untill the next Fall and they shot fine, but they were also cleaned and oiled befor they were loaded. A fired ML that was reloaded and then left for a long time may have corrosion in the barrel, I have seen many ruined this way.

I had a 45 caliber semi-custom long rifle. I think it was a KY Hunter style(but not sure). I loaned it to a friend to hunt with one year. He brought the rifle back, and it went into my safe. The following year he did not borrow it, but the next year he did borrow it again. So the rifle sat in my safe for almost two years without being fired. We were getting ready to go hunting so I told him to go out on his porch and dry fire a couple of caps. He picked up the caps and headed out the door. But instead of going outside he aimed the rifle out his living room picture window, and fired the cap. The rifle went off. He did not unload and clean the rifle from two years earlier. I went a little nutty on him, but then I let up pretty fast. After all he just blowed out his living room picture window. If you keep them dry they will fire. Tom.
