Blazer takes record book Big horn ram!!!

Well boys, My brother in law and i took out muzzys out to the NRA on sunday and wow! Windy as heck out, 30 to 40MPH wind gusts and never seemed to let up.

I first started off at 25 yards, took one shot, adjusted and then took a couple shots at 50 yards. Actually, i took 3 shots at 50 and all 3 touched :happy0001:

I adjusted 8 to the right and 10 down and got her perfectly center. Fired 5 more shots and again, all of them were touching!

My brother in law did a few shots with his Wolf and said, Lets go out and shoot some fun targets.

I switched my load over to 80gr 3F Shockeys Gold. Whoooo!! JSG-APP not consistent or accurate at longer ranges??? :confused0024:

Have not crowned the muzzle yet,

Once we got to the 200 yard range, I switched over to Shockeys Gold 3F Along with the 295gr Powerbelts.

That Shockeys Gold sure isnt Accurate at longer ranges, especially at 200 yards and a barrel thats only 21 7/8" long... :nonono2:
Trophy ram in my book!

One hell of a rifle! I let the main office guy try out the trigger and his eyes bugged out and he says, Holy S&*(@(!!!! What is that? A 1/2lb trigger?! WOW, thats a freakin hair trigger on that!

It was a fun evening though with the Blazer. When i get back from MI, i am going to mod a new nipple for it and see what else i can do with her. Really fun light weight rifle now.

How much were you holding over to hit that ram at 200 yards? That is a nice looking rifle. Should make an excellent walking around rifle.

my guess would be about2 to 2 1/2 feet. I used the thick post in the scope and put it even with the top of the rams horns.

Wow! And IIRC it only has a 1 in 38" twist.
Some CVA Blazers have been known to develop thin cracks in the wood just behind the back edges of the outside barrel flats along each side the hammer. I noticed in the previous photos that yours didn't appear to have developed those cracks. Even if they do develop they're usually pretty minor anyway.

yep you're right Arctic, My old blazer i had, got those cracks. With this one, I figure i will shoot low recoil powder combos to keep those cracks away. 70-80gr APP with a 245 or 295gr powerbelt will do on anything i am shooting at. Really likes 70gr APP with the 295 powerbelt, I had 5 shots touching at 50 yards with it yesterday.
